Ficus Hispida | 200 Seeds

Seeds from Ficus hispida. Ripe fruit is eaten raw as fruit and green fruit is cooked and eaten as a vegetable. Cord is made with fiber from the inner bark. This plant likes to live in full sun to semi shade. The fruit from this tree is eaten by double eyed fig parrots and cassowaries. Ficus, in general, are larval host plants for the Fig sphinx moth, and the Antillean Daggerwing butterfly. Hardiness Zones 10 to 11.
